Abstract: 

The SMRTbell Express Template Prep Kit 2.0 provides a streamlined, single-tube reaction strategy to generate SMRTbell libraries from 500 bp to >50 kb insert size targets to support large-insert genomic libraries, multiplexed microbial genomes and low input DNA libraries.

With this new formulation, which delivers libraries in 4 hours’ time, we have increased both the yield and efficiency of SMRTbell library preparation for SMRT Sequencing, while further minimizing handling-induced DNA damage to retain the integrity of genomic DNA (gDNA).

In this webinar we will:

1. Review two procedures and checklists available to prepare multiplexed microbial libraries and gDNA libraries

2. Discuss the key benefits and performance of the currently supported protocols through examples

3. Provide an update on the preparation of low input DNA libraries starting from 150 ng input material now available
